  27.  With Microsoft Word 6.0 or Microsoft Excel 5.0, when you click
  28. the File menu, Word may produce a "Type 3" error or it may stop responding
  29. (hang).  This problem occurs if the following items are installed on your
  30. computer:
  31.  - Global Village TelePort or PowerPort software
  32.  - Office4.2x Update for Power Mac (version 1.0)
  33.  
  34. This problem has been corrected with version 1.0.1 of the "Office4.2x
  35. Update for Power Macintosh" extension, available in an updated version of
  36. the Application Note. The Application Note number is MC1164.

  50.  - On CompuServe, GEnie, and Microsoft Partner Network (MSPN), Application
  51.    Notes are located in the Microsoft Software Library. You can find MC1164
  52.    in the Software Library by searching on the word MC1164, the Q number of
  53.    this article, or S15317. MC1164.HQX is a BinHex 4.0 file. After you
  54.    download MC1164.HQX and copy it to your Macintosh, decode it with BinHex
  55.    4.0 (or another utility that understands BinHex 4 format, such as
  56.    Stuffit or CompactPro). Decoding converts the text-format .HQX file into
  57.    a binary-format, compressed .SEA file. To extract the contents of file,
  58.    double-click the MC1164.SEA icon.

  61.    Service (MSDL), which you can reach by calling (206) 936-6735. This
  62.    service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The highest download
  63.    speed available is 14,400 bits per second (bps). For more information
  64.    about using the MSDL, call (800) 936-4100 and follow the prompts.
  65.    MC1164.SEA is a compressed, self-extracting file. After you download
  66.    MC1164.SEA to your Macintosh, double-click the MC1164.SEA icon to
  67.    extract the contents of the file.
